LOUNSBERY DIRECTOR ELECTED V.P. OF THE AMERICAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY
Lounsbery Director Homer Neal has been elected Vice President of the American Physical Society (APS), with his term beginning January 1, 2014. The APS is a non-profit membership organization “working to advance and diffuse the knowledge of physics” via publications, meetings, educational events, advocacy, and international activities and has a membership of over 50,000. According to the APS succession structure, the elected Vice President automatically becomes President the following year, thus Dr. Neal will be APS President beginning January 1, 2015.
